Mindful Kids Inc. Policies

1.Behavioural/Physical Support

Mindful Kids Inc. Campers participate in groups supervised by our staff.  These groups are made up of campers within the age range stated during registration.  A camper who finds it challenging or arduous to participate in a group setting is welcome at Mindful Kids Inc.’s camps, however, we require that these campers participate with one-to-one support, each day of the camp, provided by the family. This includes any difficulty with following group directions,  respecting one's own space, respecting the space of fellow campers & staff, the ability to sit for short to medium periods of time, making safe choices, appropriate listening skills, toileting, changing, flight risk, or respect of other campers and our staff. Our staff are unable to provide one-on-one support to a particular camper if it requires our staff to be pulled away from the group. 

Mindful Kids Inc. is not responsible if one-to-one support is unable to be arranged, a refund will not be issued.

Failure to inform Mindful Kids Inc. of the above or any other needs noticed by the owner or staff of Mindful Kids Inc. will result in the camper being released from the camp day (PA Day Camps, PA Day Package, Holiday Camps) or week (March Break, Summer Camp) with a recommendation of one to one children’s private mindfulness as a next step. A refund will not be issued. Mindful Kids Inc. has always been an inclusive environment with a framework that focuses on all campers & strives for campers to be set up for success in all of these areas where mindfulness comes first, then camp.  Because of this, Mindful Kids Inc.’s  inclusionary framework may look different than other environments you may be used to.  Should this be a concern, please contact our office prior to registering for any camp.

2. Conditions of Enrollment & Cancellation Policy

*I give permission for Mindful Kids Inc. to communicate with the email listed on the registration, electronically, by clicking “subscribe to Mindful Kids Inc. newsletters/emails” upon checkout. This includes confirmation of registration, welcome newsletters, and future updates or events at Mindful Kids Inc.

Please ensure that both our email address ([email protected]) & subscriber email address  ([email protected]) are added to your address book to prevent missed emails.

*Mindful Kids Inc. reserves the right to release a camper &/or including any one to one support, who, in the owner’s observation, is having difficulty with the rights & respect of others and/or themselves. This includes behavior which places constraints upon staff or restricts the staff from their responsibilities towards all campers. If a camper is released early for any reason, the registered parent/guardian is responsible to pick up their camper immediately, no refund will be issued & a recommendation for children’s private mindfulness will be recommended. 

*Campers who have any physical, deep emotional, developmental or behavioural needs diagnosed or otherwise, particularly if it is a condition that would require special attention, limit or exclude the camper from any camp activity, will be described fully on the information form at the time of registration. Mindful Kids Inc. retains the right to release any camper whose diagnosis/condition/behaviours/traits have not been fully disclosed or recognized by parents/guardians during the registration process.

*Fees are for the registered camper only and are not transferable to another camper. 

3. CANCELLATION POLICIES

SUMMER CAMP 

All regular rate cancellation requests prior to April 30/25 are eligible for a full refund minus a $100 administration fee. After Apr. 30/25, cancellations will be honoured, no refunds will be issued. Families wanting to switch camp weeks have the ability to do so to a summer camp week earlier than the camp week/s registered for with a $50 administration fee until May 31/25. After such time, switching summer camp weeks will not be granted. In the event of extenuating circumstances, consideration will be taken into account from the camp founder/owner. 

MARCH BREAK CAMP 

All regular rate cancellation requests prior to Jan. 31/25 are eligible for a full refund minus a $100 administration fee. After Jan 31/25, cancellations will be honoured, no refunds will be issued.

PA DAY CAMP PACKAGE, SINGLE PA DAY CAMPS, HOLIDAY CAMPS

Any cancellation will be honoured, no refunds will be issued.
